What Details Can Be Updated Online?

Aadhaar card users can update their address online by providing Proof of Identity and Proof of Address documents. If the address has not been updated in the last 10 years, this update is free of charge. To proceed with the update, users must have their mobile number linked to Aadhaar to receive OTPs for online logins and address changes. For other updates such as name, mobile number, and photo, users need to visit UIDAI-authorized centers.

How to Update Aadhaar Card Online

Visit the Aadhaar Self-Service Portal: Access the portal on the UIDAI website.

Log In: Enter your Aadhaar number, Captcha, and One Time Password (OTP).

Document Update: Navigate to the Document Update section and review your current details.

Upload Documents: Choose the appropriate document type from the drop-down menu and upload scanned copies of the original documents for verification.

Track Progress: Note the service request number to monitor the update process.
