The Delhi Assembly witnessed major chaos on Monday as all 22 AAP MLAs present inside the House created a ruckus ahead of the much-anticipated CAG report discussion. The session, which was proceeding under Rule 280, saw disruptions when BJP MLA from Rithala, Kulwant Rana, took the floor.

During his speech, AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha interrupted, leading to a heated exchange between the two legislators. The situation escalated, forcing the Assembly Speaker to intervene to restore order. However, the disruption continued, delaying the important debate on the CAG report, which allegedly exposes financial irregularities in the AAP government.

CAG Report Alleges Irregularities in AAP Government

Before the session, Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa made explosive claims, stating that the CAG report has highlighted numerous irregularities in the AAP administration. He criticized the party’s healthcare policies, alleging that their so-called health model was a strategy to divert public funds. He further claimed that due to mismanagement, many lives were lost during COVID-19, pointing fingers at the Delhi government's mishandling of oxygen supplies and mohalla clinics.

Ashish Sood, another Delhi minister, added fuel to the fire by stating that each page of the CAG report exposes a new scam linked to the AAP government. He remarked that when Delhi residents were in dire need of essential medical resources, the government was instead focused on building its lavish ‘Sheesh Mahal’. These allegations have intensified the ongoing political battle between AAP and BJP in Delhi.

Gopal Rai Slams Speaker, Calls Conduct 'Dictatorial'

On the other side, AAP MLA Gopal Rai accused the Assembly speaker of acting like a dictator in handling the session. Before entering the House, he addressed the media, condemning the speaker's actions and emphasizing that all AAP MLAs will actively participate in the discussion. He urged the speaker to ensure a fair debate, stressing that the AAP government will present its defense against the allegations.

Political Tensions Escalate in Delhi Assembly

The ongoing chaos in the Delhi Assembly is yet another chapter in the bitter rivalry between AAP and BJP. With the CAG report revealing financial mismanagement, the opposition has intensified its attacks, accusing the AAP government of large-scale corruption. Meanwhile, AAP continues to defend itself, claiming that the BJP-led central government is misusing agencies to target opposition parties.

As the budget session nears its conclusion, all eyes remain on how the AAP government will counter the allegations and whether the CAG report findings will lead to further legal or political consequences. The debate is expected to continue in the coming days, with both parties refusing to back down.
