The National Law University (NLU), Delhi, has announced significant changes to the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025 eligibility criteria for its postgraduate programs. The revisions affect the LLM (one-year) non-residential program and the joint master's/LLM in intellectual property (IP) law and management.

Revised Eligibility Criteria

According to the corrigendum released by NLU Delhi, the minimum eligibility criteria for the LLM (one-year) non-residential program now requires candidates to have an LLB or an equivalent law degree with 50% marks. For candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, and PwD), the qualifying percentage has been set at 45%. Previously, the requirements were 55% for general candidates and 50% for reserved categories.

For the joint master's/LLM in intellectual property (IP) law and management, the eligibility criteria remain similar, with the minimum qualification set at 50% for general candidates and 45% for reserved category students. This marks a significant reduction from the earlier qualifying percentages of 55% for the general category and 50% for reserved categories.

Registration and Exam Details

The registration process for AILET 2025 is currently ongoing and will conclude on November 18. Eligible candidates can submit their applications for various programs, including BA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons), LLM, and PhD programs, at NLU Delhi's official website.

The entrance exam is scheduled for December 8, taking place in a single shift from 2 PM to 4 PM.
