Air India has recently introduced a cutting-edge feature called 'AEYE Vision' on its mobile app, marking a significant leap in enhancing the passenger experience through advanced AI-based computer vision technology. This new feature aims to streamline the process of accessing real-time trip updates by reducing the need for manual data entry and offering a more seamless app experience.

AEYE Vision allows passengers to obtain essential flight information by scanning codes on their tickets, boarding passes, or baggage tags. Developed in-house, this feature is designed to make the journey smoother and more efficient by providing instant updates and relevant actions based on the scanned input. Here’s a closer look at how AEYE Vision enhances passenger experience:

Boarding Pass: By scanning the boarding pass, passengers can automatically update their journey details in the 'My Trips' section of the app. This includes checking the status of their flight and baggage, reducing the need for manual updates and providing real-time information.

Baggage Tag: This functionality allows passengers to track their checked-in bags. The app provides notifications regarding the loading, unloading, and readiness of their baggage for pickup, ensuring that passengers are kept informed throughout their travel.

Ticket: Scanning the ticket enables passengers to initiate web check-in, add trip details to 'My Trips,' and track the status of their flight and baggage. This integration simplifies the process of managing trip details and accessing important information.

AEYE Vision significantly enhances the Air India mobile app by allowing users to scan documents using their phone camera or upload images from their gallery. The app processes these inputs to deliver instant and relevant actions, making the entire process of managing travel details more efficient and user-friendly.

In addition to the launch of AEYE Vision, Air India has announced plans to introduce Wi-Fi on board its flights, starting with the A350 aircraft on the Delhi-London Heathrow route. This development is part of Air India's broader transformation journey under the Tata Group. The new A350-900 aircraft features luxurious amenities, including 28 private suites with full-flat beds in business class, 24 seats in premium economy, and 264 economy seats. The service will operate twice daily on this route, further enhancing the airline's offering and passenger comfort.
