Air India has announced a significant update to its in-flight meal offerings, impacting the Halal meal service for Hindu and Sikh passengers. Effective immediately, the airline will no longer provide Halal-certified non-vegetarian meals as part of the standard meal options for these communities. Instead, non-Halal certified meals will be the default option for passengers of Hindu and Sikh faiths.

However, Muslim passengers traveling on Air India can still pre-book Halal meals under the designation MOML (Muslim Meal), which will be provided on request.
