Ghaziabad, March 16, 2025: In a bid to enhance connectivity in the National Capital Region (NCR), Air India Express has launched 40 weekly flights from Hindon Airport, Ghaziabad. The new routes will directly connect five key destinations, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Jammu, and Kolkata.

First Flight Launch and Inauguration

The inaugural flight on the Kolkata-Hindon route touched down at 09:30 hrs, while the first Goa-Hindon flight departed at 10:40 hrs. Rammohan Naidu, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, officially inaugurated Air India Express’s services at Hindon Airport, marking the beginning of a significant expansion in the region’s air connectivity.

Flight Timings and Schedules

The flight schedules for March 2025 are as follows:

• Hindon to Goa
  • Departure: 10:40 | Arrival: 13:15 | Frequency: Daily
• Goa to Hindon
  • Departure: 14:00 | Arrival: 16:35 | Frequency: Daily except Saturday
• Hindon to Kolkata
  • Departure: 17:15 | Arrival: 19:40 | Frequency: Daily except Saturday
• Kolkata to Hindon
  • Departure: 07:10 | Arrival: 09:30 | Frequency: Daily
• Hindon to Bengaluru
  • Departure: 16:00 | Arrival: 18:35 | Frequency: Daily except Saturday
• Bengaluru to Hindon
  • Departure: 12:40 | Arrival: 15:15 | Frequency: Saturday

From March 10, 2025, the Bengaluru to Hindon route will begin operating daily with departure at 04:45 hrs and arrival at 08:40 hrs, with Hindon to Bengaluru flights departing at 07:40 hrs and arriving at 11:40 hrs.

From March 22, 2025, Hindon to Chennai flights will operate daily except Saturdays at 15:10 hrs, and Hindon to Jammu flights will operate daily except Saturdays at 09:45 hrs.

Boosting Regional Connectivity

This strategic expansion will serve not only the North and East Delhi NCR but also Western Uttar Pradesh, including key areas like Ghaziabad, Meerut, Noida, Akshardham, Anand Vihar, Chandni Chowk, ITO, and Karol Bagh. These areas will now have a much more convenient connection to major cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Jammu, and Kolkata.

Complementing Operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport

According to Aloke Singh, the Managing Director of Air India Express, the services from Hindon will complement their extensive operations from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, where the airline serves 18 domestic and four international destinations. This new initiative at Hindon is designed to cater to the growing demand for air travel within the region while reducing the burden on the already congested Indira Gandhi Airport.

This new development in the air travel sector promises to provide quicker and easier access for passengers traveling between the NCR and major Indian cities, making it a crucial enhancement for both business and tourism in the region.
