In a bid to strengthen the AAP's position in the upcoming Delhi elections, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav joined former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for a road show in Delhi's Kirari. During the event, Yadav made a passionate appeal to Delhi residents, urging them to not "waste" their vote. His message was clear: the key to defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was to support the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Yadav’s remarks come at a critical time, with the Delhi elections just around the corner. The Samajwadi Party leader urged voters to consider the broader impact of their vote, emphasizing that every single vote cast for AAP could be a decisive step toward pushing the BJP out of Delhi’s political landscape. He confidently stated that AAP's "jhadu" (broom) would sweep the BJP out of power, an image designed to resonate with AAP's well-known election symbol.

Yadav went on to highlight the accomplishments of AAP's governance, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare, both of which have been cornerstones of the party’s platform. He particularly praised AAP’s success in providing subsidies for electricity and water bills, which have been well-received by Delhi’s citizens. According to Yadav, even BJP leaders have acknowledged the popularity of these schemes, fearing that these benefits could sway voters away from their camp.

While voicing strong support for AAP’s work, Yadav avoided directly attacking Congress, despite their position as an ally in the INDIA bloc. This careful political maneuver is likely aimed at maintaining good relations with the Congress party, which is also a contender for power in Delhi.

Yadav boldly predicted that BJP would lose all 70 seats in Delhi, reinforcing his belief that AAP's track record of good governance would win out over the BJP’s alleged misgovernance. He noted that the people of Delhi were aware of the tangible benefits of AAP’s schemes, which have been especially beneficial for poor and common people. According to him, the AAP government would once again form in Delhi, continuing the progress made under their leadership.
