US President Joe Biden has expressed his profound sadness and offered his deepest condolences following the death of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who passed away at the age of 92 on Thursday at Delhi's AIIMS hospital. In 2013, Singh hosted Biden in New Delhi, and the two leaders discussed the future of the US-India relationship, which Biden described as one of the most consequential in the world.
In his statement, Biden added, “As we discussed then, the US-India relationship is among the most consequential in the world. And together, as partners and friends, our nations can unlock a future of dignity and unlimited potential for all of our people.”
