In a statement released on Thursday, President Joe Biden condemned the terrorist attack in New Orleans that took place during the New Year’s celebration, resulting in 15 deaths and 35 injuries. The attack, carried out by Shamsud Din Jabbar, an ISIS supporter, involved a vehicle ramming into a crowd, leaving behind significant destruction. The attacker also planted explosives in two nearby ice coolers in the French Quarter just hours before carrying out the vehicle assault.

Biden’s Strong Statement on Terrorism

President Biden vowed that the United States would relentlessly pursue ISIS and other terrorist organizations, making it clear that no group will find safety in the U.S. "We are going to relentlessly pursue ISIS and other terrorist organisations where they are, and they will find no safe husher here," Biden said during his address. He also assured the public that the FBI is handling the investigation, and at the moment, there is no evidence suggesting other individuals were involved.

The Attack and Its Aftermath

The FBI has confirmed that Shamsud Din Jabbar, who was identified as the attacker, was linked to ISIS, with an ISIS flag found in his vehicle. The authorities have also revealed that Jabbar posted videos expressing support for terrorist organizations, which further solidified his association with ISIS.

Biden also updated the public on the current investigation, stating that there was no established connection between the New Orleans attack and the Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion.
