Her journey, which seemed uncertain due to family pressure, has been revived thanks to social media and government support.
Viral Video Sparks National Attention
Khushboo, a Class 10 student, had scored 399 out of 500 in her board exams, a commendable feat. However, despite her academic excellence, she was denied admission to the science stream by her parents, who insisted she opt for arts instead. The reason? She had missed the 400-mark threshold they had set for allowing her to study science.
In an emotional viral video, Khushboo shared her heartbreaking story, explaining how her brothers were allowed to pursue science, while she was denied the same opportunity. Fighting back tears, she pleaded for a chance to study science so she could prepare for NEET and fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.
Union Education Minister Steps In
The video quickly gained massive traction, catching the attention of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Moved by her determination and struggle, he personally intervened, ensuring that Khushboo would get the chance to study science.
Pradhan directed the local district administration to immediately assist Khushboo and make the necessary arrangements for her admission into the science stream. He even made a personal phone call to Khushboo, reassuring her that her dreams would not be hindered.
"You should begin preparing for NEET. Your dream of becoming a doctor will not be hindered," the minister told her. He also commended her courage and encouraged her to stay focused on her goals.
District Administration to Bear Educational Expenses
Following the minister’s directive, the Danapur District Magistrate also stepped in, announcing that the government would take care of all her educational expenses. Local authorities are now working on:
- Enrolling Khushboo into the science stream in a reputed institution.
- Providing necessary academic resources like books, coaching, and financial aid.
- Ensuring her smooth preparation for NEET without any further hurdles.
Khushboo’s Reaction: A New Beginning
Speaking to reporters, a grateful Khushboo expressed her joy and relief at finally being able to pursue her dream.
"I am extremely thankful to everyone who supported me. I will become a doctor one day," she said excitedly.
Her story is an inspiring reminder of how social media, public support, and timely government intervention can transform lives. It also highlights the importance of equal educational opportunities, ensuring that talented students, regardless of gender or family constraints, get the chance to achieve their dreams.
As Khushboo embarks on this new journey, she is a beacon of hope for many other aspiring students across the country who face societal pressures and limitations but refuse to give up on their ambitions.
