The Union Cabinet has approved a major infrastructure project to develop a six-lane access-controlled greenfield high-speed National Highway, connecting Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) Port at Pagote to Chowk in Maharashtra. The 29.219-kilometer stretch will be constructed at an estimated investment of Rs. 4,500 crore (US$ 521.50 million) under the Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) model, which is expected to enhance logistics efficiency and improve regional connectivity.
