The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted continued light to moderate rain for the next two days, with some areas already experiencing localized flooding and traffic congestion. The heavy downpour has led to reports of knee-deep water in certain locations, prompting local authorities to issue alerts and manage traffic disruptions effectively.

Both cities are expected to experience ongoing thunderstorms and rain, offering relief from the oppressive heat while raising concerns about waterlogging and traffic issues. Residents are advised to stay informed and prepared as the weather evolves over the coming days, marking a significant change in the seasonal patterns for both Chennai and Hyderabad.
