Cosmo First Limited has officially commenced commercial production of its newly installed BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film line at its existing manufacturing facility in Waluj, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The production began on June 1, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the company’s manufacturing capabilities.

The newly commissioned BOPP line is a state-of-the-art facility with a width of 10.4 meters and a unique 5-layer film structure. It boasts an annual production capacity of 81,200 metric tons, making it one of the highest capacity BOPP lines in the world.

This advanced technology installation not only enhances the quality and durability of BOPP films produced but also significantly boosts the overall production volume.

As a result of this commissioning, Cosmo First’s total BOPP production capacity has now increased to approximately 277,000 metric tons per annum. This increase positions Cosmo First Limited among the leading manufacturers in the BOPP film industry, capable of meeting growing demand in packaging and other industrial applications.

The company had earlier intimated its plans for the BOPP line installation in September 2021 and has complied with all relevant disclosure requirements under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

This capacity expansion reflects Cosmo First Limited’s commitment to investing in modern manufacturing technology and sustained growth to strengthen its market presence.

The announcement was made through official communication to the stock exchanges, BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited, where Cosmo First is listed under the scrip code 508814 and security ID COSMOFIRST.

The regulatory filing was signed by Jyoti Dixit, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Cosmo First Limited.
