Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday paid heartfelt tribute to late BJP veteran leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra, acknowledging his immense contributions to the party and the development of Delhi. Ms. Gupta stated that the foundation of every major developmental project in the city is closely linked with Malhotraji’s efforts, emphasising that he played a pivotal role in establishing the BJP in Delhi.

Prayer Meeting at Civic Centre

The prayer meeting was organised at the Civic Centre to honour Malhotra, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 93 after a brief illness. The meeting saw attendance from top leaders including Union Minister Manohar Lal, RSS Delhi prant pracharak Anil Agarwal, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh, Rajya Sabha member Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, and several senior BJP officials.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the event was dedicated to a dynamic leader who inspired thousands of workers, highlighting how Malhotra mentored young political aspirants and helped them grow within the party framework.

Union Minister Manohar Lal described Malhotraji’s vast political experience as instrumental in giving the BJP new direction in Delhi and across the country. Senior BJP leader Sachdeva noted that Malhotra earned respect from political opponents due to his discipline, leadership, and consistent dedication to the party and public causes.
