As summer temperatures begin to rise, Delhi has taken significant steps to strengthen its water supply system and address the increasing demand for drinking water across the city. Authorities have announced that the total water supply has been increased to 1,002 million gallons per day (MGD), accompanied by the deployment of 1,221 water tankers to ensure wider distribution, especially in areas facing shortages.

The move comes as part of seasonal preparations to manage the challenges posed by summer heat and rising water demand, which typically put pressure on urban water infrastructure.
