After several days of intense negotiations and political manoeuvring, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Congress party have finalised a seat-sharing agreement for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

While the agreement ensures that the two parties will continue their long-standing electoral partnership, the negotiations have reportedly been difficult and at times pushed the alliance close to collapse.
