The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated raids on the premises of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora as part of a money laundering investigation linked to a land fraud case. Official sources have revealed that the operations are taking place at around 16-17 locations, including Arora's residence in Gurugram (Haryana) and other properties in Ludhiana (Punjab). These actions reflect the ED's ongoing scrutiny in financial matters involving public figures.

Sanjeev Arora, the 61-year-old MP from Punjab, has publicly stated, “I am a law-abiding citizen and am not sure about the reason for the search operation. I will cooperate fully with the agencies and ensure all their queries are answered.” This statement highlights his willingness to engage with the investigative process, although it also raises questions about the motivations behind such actions.

Among the premises being searched are those linked to real estate businessman Hemant Sood and another individual, Chandra Shekhar Agrawal, in Jalandhar. The ongoing investigation reflects broader concerns about land fraud and money laundering that have implicated several political figures and businesspeople in the region.

Reacting to the raids, AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia expressed his concerns on social media. He asserted that the actions against Arora are politically motivated, aimed at destabilizing the party. He noted, "Since this morning, the ED is raiding the house of Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora. In the last two years, they have raided Arvind Kejriwal's house, my house, Sanjay Singh's house, Satyendra Jain's house... nothing was found anywhere. But Modiji's agencies are engaged with full dedication in making fake cases one after the other. These people will go to any extent to break the Aam Aadmi Party."
