On December 27, 2024, Esconet Technologies Limited announced that it has received a Letter of Award from Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) for a significant cybersecurity contract valued at ₹13.91 Crore. The order covers the renewal of existing cybersecurity devices, along with the supply, installation, and integration of a Web Application Firewall (WAF) solution at HPSEBL’s Data Centre in Shimla and Disaster Recovery Centre in Paonta Sahib.
The contract is to be executed in two phases:
- The renewal of cybersecurity devices, which will provide support services until December 31, 2027.
- The WAF solution integration, which will be completed within three years from the satisfactory completion of installation.
According to the disclosure, the work must be completed within 30 days of the Letter of Award acceptance, highlighting the urgency and commitment of Esconet Technologies to meet the deadlines. The total contract value of ₹13,91,37,292 includes all taxes and is set to enhance the cybersecurity infrastructure of HPSEBL.
This development marks another milestone for Esconet Technologies as it expands its footprint in the cybersecurity and technology solutions space, particularly in government and public sector contracts. The company also reassured investors that the transaction does not involve related-party transactions and emphasized that the order is not impacted by any conflicts of interest.
