Two tragic incidents occurred during religious events in India, highlighting the risks associated with large gatherings. In Ludhiana, Punjab, a Navratri Jagran turned deadly when a pandal (decorative temporary structure) collapsed due to high-velocity winds. The incident took place on Saturday night on Rahon Road, where the audience was gathered for the religious programme. Unfortunately, the strong winds uprooted the pandal, leading to one of its supporting poles falling onto the attendees. Among the casualties was Sunita Devi, who, along with another woman, succumbed to injuries sustained in the collapse.

The police reported that at least 15 others were injured in the incident. Those who were injured were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, most of the injured individuals were discharged after receiving first aid. The local authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to this unfortunate event, focusing on safety measures at public gatherings during festive occasions.

Heart Attack During Ramleela Performance in Delhi

In a separate incident, a 45-year-old man, identified as Sushil Kaushik, suffered a heart attack while performing the role of Lord Rama at a Ramleela in Vishwakarma Nagar, located in Delhi's Shahdara area. During the performance, Kaushik reportedly felt unwell and went backstage, where he ultimately collapsed. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Kaushik was a property dealer by profession, and his sudden passing shocked the local community. A video capturing the moment of his distress circulated on social media, highlighting the unpredictability of health emergencies during live performances.
