  • 2 days of restricted holidays

“The Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972, provide for 30 days of earned leave, 20 days of half-pay leave, eight days of casual leave, and two days of restricted holidays per annum, apart from other eligible leaves to a Central Government employee. These can be availed for any personal reasons, including that of taking care of elderly parents,” said Jitendra Singh during the parliamentary session.

The minister reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining adequate staffing levels in departments such as the Railways, Defence, Home Affairs, and the Postal Department, while continuing recruitment efforts based on departmental requirements.
