On April 19, 2025, the HCG Aastha Cancer Centre in Ahmedabad was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel. This expansion makes the centre the largest private cancer care facility in Gujarat, significantly enhancing its capacity to provide world-class oncology treatment to the growing number of cancer patients in the region.

The new premises, located opposite Bhagwat Vidyapith, Sola, have increased the hospital's bed capacity by 140%, now offering 217 beds. These upgrades will allow the centre to handle a projected 30-40% increase in patient visits, translating into over 55,000 outpatient visits and 9,000 inpatient admissions annually. The expanded facilities include 23 surgical ICU beds, 10 medical ICU beds, 23 daycare beds, and 6 Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) units.

With this expansion, the HCG Aastha Cancer Centre now integrates advanced technologies such as robotic-assisted surgeries, Gujarat’s first Tomo Therapy unit, and scalp cooling technology to reduce chemotherapy-induced hair loss. This marks a significant leap in precision oncology, allowing the centre to offer personalized, targeted treatments based on genomics and proteomics to improve patient outcomes.

The inauguration event saw the participation of key leaders from HCG, including Dr. B.S. Ajaikumar (Executive Chairman), Mr. Raj Gore (CEO), and Dr. Bharat Gadhavi (Regional Director). Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel highlighted the role of advanced healthcare infrastructure in making quality cancer treatment more accessible. He commended the HCG Aastha Cancer Centre for its cutting-edge technologies and holistic approach to patient care, which align with the government's broader health initiatives.

Dr. Ajaikumar emphasized the hospital’s commitment to evidence-based oncology and affordable, accessible care for patients across India. He stated, “This centre combines global innovations in cancer care, ensuring that every patient receives the right treatment the first time.”
