In response to the escalating conflict in Lebanon, the Indian Embassy in Beirut has issued a fresh advisory urging all Indian nationals to leave the country immediately. This announcement follows a previous advisory issued on August 1, 2024, and comes amid increasing violence and instability in the region.

The embassy's statement, shared on X (formerly Twitter), strongly advised against any travel to Lebanon and cautioned those who remain to exercise extreme caution. "As a reiteration of the Advisory issued on 1 August 2024 and in view of the recent developments and escalations in the region, Indian nationals are strongly advised against travelling to Lebanon till further notice," the statement read.

The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with hundreds of Lebanese reportedly killed.

Israeli military chief General Herzi Halevi has stated that airstrikes would persist, aimed at dismantling Hezbollah's infrastructure and paving the way for a potential ground operation. "You hear the jets overhead; we have been striking all day," Halevi remarked to Israeli troops stationed at the border. He further warned that Hezbollah's recent increase in attacks would elicit a strong Israeli response.
