In a significant development, Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Plc (JLR), the British subsidiary of Tata Motors, has decided to assemble its prestigious Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs in India for the first time in over 50 years. This strategic move underscores JLR's dedication to local manufacturing and its strategic intent to capitalize on the growth potential of India's luxury car segment. The decision comes alongside the inauguration of the Range Rover House, the brand's inaugural experiential center in Alibaug, Maharashtra, signaling JLR's deepening roots in the Indian market.

To cater to the local demand and optimize manufacturing efficiencies, JLR will establish a new assembly line at Tata Motors' manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra.
