At the top of the list is Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Mr. Mukesh Ambani, with a family fortune of Rs. 9,50,000 crore (US$ 107 billion), solidifying his position as India’s richest individual. Close behind is Adani Group Chairman Mr. Gautam Adani, with a net worth of Rs. 8,15,000 crore (US$ 91.8 billion), reflecting strong growth in energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
The top three is completed by Ms. Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCLTech, who emerges as India’s richest woman with Rs. 2,84,000 crore (US$ 32 billion), highlighting the rise of female entrepreneurs in India’s technology sector. The list also showcases young achievers, including Mr. Aravind Srinivas, CEO and co-founder of Perplexity AI, who at age 31 became India’s youngest billionaire with Rs. 21,190 crore (US$ 2.39 billion), demonstrating India’s growing tech ecosystem.

This year, the M3M Hurun India Rich List added 58 new billionaires, averaging more than one per week, underlining India’s dynamic wealth landscape and the increasing opportunities for self-made entrepreneurs. The combined wealth of India’s richest individuals now totals Rs. 1,67,00,000 crore (US$ 1.88 trillion), nearly half of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), indicating significant wealth concentration in urban hubs and industrial sectors. Mumbai continues to lead as the city with the highest number of billionaires, housing 451 individuals on the list, followed by Delhi and Bengaluru, reflecting India’s regional economic hubs.
