Inox Wind continues its strong momentum in India’s renewable energy market with expanding ties in the C&I segment and growing project execution strength.
Inox Wind Limited (IWL), one of India’s foremost wind energy solutions providers, has announced a major milestone with the acquisition of a 51 MW wind energy project order from First Energy Private Limited (FEPL), a subsidiary of the Thermax Group. This marks the first-ever collaboration between the two renewable energy leaders and is viewed as a stepping stone towards a broader partnership.
The project is set to be implemented in Tamil Nadu through FEPL's special purpose vehicle (SPV) First Energy 10 Private Limited. As per the contract terms, IWL will supply its advanced 3 MW class turbines featuring a hub height of 140 meters and a rotor diameter of 145 meters. These specifications reflect Inox Wind’s technological innovation and its commitment to supporting India’s decarbonisation goals.
Additionally, the scope of the contract includes a limited scope EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) package, which encompasses on-site supervision and execution services, ensuring seamless project development. Beyond the commissioning phase, IWL will provide multi-year Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services, securing performance and reliability over the long term.
Speaking on this development, Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Inox Wind Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the new collaboration:
“We are thrilled to commence our relationship with First Energy through this 51 MW order, which we believe will be the first of many. First Energy, a Thermax Group company, is a fast-growing player in India’s burgeoning commercial & industrial (C&I) RE power market. Our partnership will help them scale rapidly, and we remain committed to delivering excellence across the wind energy value chain.”
