Iran has announced three key conditions for ending the ongoing war with Israel and the United States, as the conflict entered its 12th day on March 11, 2026.

The statement came from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who said that a peaceful resolution to the war would require recognition of Iran’s rights, compensation for damages, and international assurances against future attacks.

Despite the statement, U.S. and Israeli air strikes reportedly continued across Iranian territory, indicating that hostilities remain ongoing.

Three Conditions Set by Iran

President Masoud Pezeshkian outlined three major conditions that Iran believes must be met for the war to end.

According to his statement, the conflict can only end if:

• Iran’s legitimate rights are recognised, particularly regarding its nuclear programme.
• Reparations are paid for damages caused during the conflict.
• Firm international guarantees are provided to prevent future aggression against Iran.

The demand for reparations marks a notable development, as it is the first time a senior Iranian leader has formally raised compensation as a condition for ending the war.

Iran Reaffirms Commitment to Peace

In a social media post, President Pezeshkian said that Iran remains committed to peace and stability in the region.

He noted that he had held discussions with leaders from Russia and Pakistan, where he reiterated Iran’s position on the conflict.

According to the Iranian president, the current war was triggered by attacks carried out by Israel and supported by the United States, and Iran is seeking a settlement that ensures its sovereignty and security.

Nuclear Rights Central to Iran’s Position

A key part of Iran’s demands relates to its nuclear programme and enrichment activities.

Iran has long argued that uranium enrichment is a legitimate right under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

As a signatory to the treaty, Iran maintains that it is allowed to pursue peaceful nuclear energy programmes, including uranium enrichment for civilian purposes.

The issue has been at the centre of years of international negotiations and tensions between Iran and Western powers.

Ongoing Military Strikes

While diplomatic statements continue, the conflict on the ground has shown little sign of slowing down.
