What’s covered under the Article:
-
Sunny Deol’s “Jaat” earned Rs 6 crore on Day 6, showing a decline after the weekend boost.
-
Despite a strong weekend and National holiday, the film's earnings fell during weekdays, reaching Rs 53.5 crore overall.
-
The film is trailing behind Ajith Kumar's "Good Bad Ugly," which crossed Rs 100 crore in six days.
Sunny Deol made a strong comeback with his latest release, Jaat, which hit theaters on April 10, 2025. After the massive success of Gadar 2, expectations were high for this film. However, Jaat has had a mixed response from both the audience and critics. While the movie had an average start on its first day, it capitalized on the weekend and the National holiday on Monday, which led to a boost in its earnings. But how did the film fare on its sixth day at the box office?
Jaat Day 6 Box Office Collection
On Tuesday, the sixth day of its release, Jaat earned Rs 6 crore according to initial estimates. This figure shows a decline in earnings compared to the extended weekend, where the film saw much higher collections. Despite this dip, Jaat managed to accumulate Rs 53.50 crore at the box office by the end of Day 6.
However, it is clear that the box office performance has started to cool down after the initial rush, with the film’s earnings declining after the weekend. This suggests that while there is still audience interest, the film may not sustain the momentum required for long-term success.
Total Earnings of “Jaat” So Far
The film performed better during its extended weekend, with its collections reaching Rs 7.25 crore on Monday (the fifth day). But Tuesday's earnings brought it down to Rs 6 crore, signaling a drop in interest as the film enters the weekdays.
So far, Jaat has earned Rs 53.50 crore at the box office, which, while commendable, still lags behind other films released around the same time.
Clash with “Good Bad Ugly”
One of the main reasons for the lower-than-expected performance of Jaat could be its box office clash with Ajith Kumar’s “Good Bad Ugly”. Both films were released on April 10, and Ajith’s film has outperformed Sunny Deol’s significantly.
As of Day 6, “Good Bad Ugly” has earned a staggering Rs 106.45 crore, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark within just six days of its release. On the other hand, Jaat has managed to secure a place in the Rs 50 crore club, but the gap between the two films remains significant.
Cast and Crew of “Jaat”
Jaat features Sunny Deol in the lead role, with Randeep Hooda playing the villain. The movie is directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Maitree Movie Makers and People Media Factory. Along with Deol and Hooda, the film also stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra in important roles.
Despite the star-studded cast, the film is struggling to maintain its box office performance, especially when compared to its competitor, Ajith Kumar’s film.
What’s Next for “Jaat”?
The future of Jaat at the box office largely depends on whether it can pick up momentum again or if it will continue to see a steady decline. The competition from Good Bad Ugly, combined with average weekday earnings, might make it harder for Jaat to sustain its run in theaters unless it receives a significant boost in audience interest.
As the week progresses, we’ll have to wait and see if Sunny Deol’s film can recover or if Good Bad Ugly will dominate the box office for the foreseeable future.
