JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has been awarded an additional 400 MW of Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under the Phase III of its renewable energy initiative. This allocation follows an earlier award of 200 MW, bringing the total capacity under Phase III to 600 MW.

This new capacity award further solidifies JSW Energy's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio. As of now, the company's total locked-in generation capacity has reached 17.6 GW, which includes a diversified mix of wind, thermal, hydro, and solar power sources. Notably, 3.2 GW of this capacity is dedicated to hybrid projects, positioning JSW Energy as a leading player in India’s transition towards green energy.

The company has been on an aggressive growth trajectory, with current operational capacity standing at 7.5 GW. The additional capacity is expected to help JSW Energy achieve its ambitious target of 10 GW installed generation capacity by FY25. This growth is aligned with JSW Energy's broader goal of reaching a total power generation capacity of 20 GW by 2030 and achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
