On January 24, 2025, Marico Limited celebrated International Education Day, highlighting the remarkable progress of its flagship initiative, Nihar Shanti Pathshala Funwala (NSPF). This initiative has empowered 1.76 lakh teachers across four states—Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan—helping them adopt innovative digital solutions and reaching over 15 lakh students.

In its mission to address educational disparities in underserved areas, NSPF offers digital learning tools like YouTube, web portals, and Google Forms to provide teaching resources and conduct online classroom visits. This initiative helps bridge the education gap, even in remote regions.

Teacher Empowerment through Digital Tools
NSPF's teacher training program has made significant strides in Madhya Pradesh, where the highest participation of government teachers has been recorded. Through state partnerships, the program's content was broadcast on DD-MP, India's national channel, ensuring a wider reach.

In Chhattisgarh, NSPF collaborated with the state government to introduce a language proficiency program for pre-service teachers and Diploma in Elementary Education students, enhancing their business language skills.

The program’s presence is also growing in Jharkhand, where NSPF content was uploaded to the Diksha portal, an initiative by the Government of India for online learning. In Rajasthan, NSPF launched the Teacher Entrepreneur Program to empower rural women, enabling them to run tuition centers and support teachers in part-time roles.

Leveraging Technology for Greater Reach
To further extend its impact, NSPF uses WhatsApp Enterprise-based learning solutions, delivering personalized updates, structured messages, and content distribution. In FY24, over 25 million high-speed messages were sent to teachers, ensuring they received critical teaching materials and utility messages.

NSPF’s Saturday Story Session, a weekly YouTube program designed to improve students’ reading, listening, and comprehension skills, has garnered over 5.8 lakh views and attracted 36,000 subscribers. This program has made learning more interactive and accessible, helping students strengthen their foundational skills.

Continued Expansion and Future Goals
NSPF's reach now spans 50 districts identified under the Government of India’s Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP), a nationwide effort aimed at improving education in under-developed districts. Through its targeted initiatives, NSPF is determined to continue impacting India’s educational landscape positively.

The initiative is expanding its footprint, collaborating with state governments, educators, and stakeholders to bring about systemic changes and foster educational excellence. By utilizing digital solutions and grassroots programs like Teacher Entrepreneur, NSPF is shaping a brighter future for both teachers and students.
