New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is set to visit India from March 16-20, 2025, at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs. This will be Luxon’s first official visit to India as the Prime Minister of New Zealand.

During his stay, Luxon will visit New Delhi and Mumbai before returning to Wellington on March 20.

Luxon to Hold Talks with PM Modi and President Murmu

In New Delhi, Luxon will meet PM Narendra Modi on March 17, with discussions focused on the bilateral relations between India and New Zealand. Luxon will also meet President Droupadi Murmu later that day.

A special lunch will be hosted by PM Modi in Luxon’s honor as part of the visit.

Luxon to Attend Raisina Dialogue and Visit Mumbai

On the same day, Luxon will join the 10th Raisina Dialogue 2025, where he will deliver the keynote address. This prestigious international event will allow Luxon to engage with global leaders and experts on a variety of geopolitical and economic issues.

Following the event, Luxon will travel to Mumbai on March 19-20, where he will meet Indian business leaders and engage with prominent figures across sectors.

Strengthening India-New Zealand Ties

Luxon will be accompanied by a high-level delegation consisting of Ministers, senior officials, business leaders, media representatives, and members of the Indian diaspora in New Zealand.

His visit is a clear sign of the enduring partnership between the two nations. The trip underscores the continued efforts to strengthen ties and deepen cooperation in areas such as trade, business, and people-to-people relations.

The visit is expected to pave the way for greater collaboration between India and New Zealand in various fields.
