In a chilling revelation following the Pahalgam terror attack, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has discovered that the terrorists involved used body cameras to record the entire massacre that took place on April 22, 2025. Officials stated that this significant evidence came to light during their thorough investigation, which has been ongoing since the day of the horrific incident.

According to sources within the NIA, the probe has been significantly intensified with teams dispatched across multiple states like Maharashtra, Odisha, and West Bengal to gather accounts from victims’ families and survivors. Separate NIA teams are meticulously recording eyewitness accounts and collecting forensic evidence from the site in Baisaran Valley, a scenic location that turned into a scene of horror.

The attack, which led to the death of 26 innocent people, most of them tourists, has been described as one of the most devastating incidents since the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Preliminary investigations indicate that five to seven terrorists executed the massacre, aided by two local individuals who had allegedly undergone training in Pakistan.

The NIA, working in tandem with local police, immediately filed a case in Jammu and has maintained an active presence at the crime scene since the incident. The investigation team, led by a hierarchy of officers including an Inspector General (IG), a Deputy Inspector General (DIG), and a Superintendent of Police (SP), has left no stone unturned in tracking the perpetrators.

Significant progress has been made with the identification of three Pakistani terrorists: Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha. Sketches of these individuals have been released to aid in their capture. Authorities believe that the attackers meticulously planned the assault, scouting the area and its entry and exit points well in advance.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that the body camera footage could have been intended for propaganda purposes, aimed at glorifying the attack among extremist networks. The usage of body cameras by terrorists represents a disturbing new tactic in modern terrorism, combining brutality with digital warfare.

Meanwhile, the Central Government and security forces have ramped up search operations across Jammu and Kashmir. Visuals from Baisaran Valley depict deserted streets, a grim contrast to the area’s usual bustling tourist activity. Heavy deployment of troops and aerial surveillance have been observed in and around Pahalgam.

This intensified action follows a broader national crackdown on provocative and misleading content emanating from across the border. Recently, India also banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, including well-known platforms like Dawn News and Geo News, for spreading false narratives and communal disinformation.

Tensions have escalated further along the Line of Control (LoC), with reports of unprovoked ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops. In retaliation, the Indian Army has mounted robust responses to contain any infiltration attempts.

In parallel, another significant security concern has emerged from Lucknow’s Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK), where an investigation is underway into the generation of fake IDs for Pakistani nationals whose visas were recently revoked.

The Pahalgam attack has shocked the nation, with leaders across the political spectrum condemning the act and calling for strict measures against those responsible. The attack has also reignited discussions around India's internal security policies and cross-border terrorism.

Security experts have termed the use of body cameras a disturbing evolution in terror tactics. It not only serves the attackers’ aim of documenting their brutal acts but also attempts to use such recordings as a psychological tool to instill fear.

As investigations continue, authorities are also focusing on strengthening intelligence networks and monitoring sensitive areas to prevent any future incidents. Surveillance has been tightened at hotels, bus stations, airports, and tourist spots across Jammu and Kashmir.

The NIA’s efforts, combined with the Central Government’s crackdown on misinformation, mark a comprehensive attempt to tackle the menace of terrorism from both a ground and psychological perspective.

The probe remains ongoing, and more revelations are expected in the coming weeks as the nation mourns the victims and demands justice for those who lost their lives in this heinous attack.
