In the 121st episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation, sending a clear and strong message about India’s unity in the fight against terrorism. Opening his speech with a stern condemnation of the rising threat posed by terrorism, PM Modi expressed his deep concern about the attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which shook the entire country. The terrorist attack, which aimed to disrupt the peace and progress seen in Kashmir, left the nation in grief and anger. The Prime Minister called the attack a desperate act by those who could not tolerate Kashmir’s growing development and tourism.

Prime Minister Modi pointed out that despite the hardships caused by terrorism in the past, peace is steadily returning to Kashmir. The region is seeing a rising influx of tourists, which has contributed to its economic development. However, he emphasized that terrorists seek to destabilize this newfound peace, showing the desperation of those who aim to halt the state’s progress. Modi assured the people of Kashmir and the nation that the families of those affected by the attack would get justice. He further reaffirmed that the perpetrators would be held accountable, and the world stood united with India in its fight against terrorism.

The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support from world leaders who have condemned the attack. He assured the nation that this act of terror would not go unpunished and that the entire world is watching India’s fight against terrorism. Modi emphasized that the unity of India’s citizens is crucial, and the country stands in one voice against such heinous acts. "The outrage we feel today is shared globally," he stated, underscoring the solidarity of the world with India’s 1.4 billion people.

In addition to addressing the issue of terrorism, PM Modi also focused on India’s preparedness for natural disasters. He introduced a mobile app called Sachet, developed by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). This app is designed to keep people alert and safe during natural disasters, helping them avoid dangerous situations and facilitating timely assistance. Modi encouraged citizens to make use of this app, underlining the importance of being cautious and prepared for natural calamities.

Another major focus of the 121st episode was India’s achievements in the field of space exploration. PM Modi spoke with immense pride about the significant strides India has made in space science, with several high-profile missions lined up for the future. He specifically mentioned upcoming missions like Gaganyaan, SpaDeX, and Chandrayaan-4, alongside India’s preparations for the Venus Orbiter Mission and Mars Lander Mission. These missions, he said, reflect India’s growing presence in the global space arena.

Modi lauded the country’s space scientists and engineers for their innovations, which have put India on the map as a space leader. He shared that India’s space program has become one of the most cost-effective and successful programs in the world, with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) setting several records. One of the most notable records was India’s successful launch of 104 satellites at once, a feat that highlighted India’s growing capability in space. Furthermore, India became the first country to land a spacecraft on the Moon’s South Pole and achieved significant milestones with the Mars Orbiter Mission and Aditya L1 Mission, which aims to study the Sun closely.

PM Modi also touched on the rise of space startups in India, revealing that the private sector has now become a key player in India’s space sector. He noted that while only one company was operating in India’s space sector a decade ago, today there are more than 350 space startups in the country. These startups, led by young entrepreneurs, are creating innovative solutions and contributing to India’s growing space ambitions.

The Prime Minister closed the episode by expressing confidence that India’s future in space exploration is bright and that the country is set to continue being a global leader in space technology. He reiterated that India’s journey to the Moon, Mars, and beyond is just the beginning, and the country’s space capabilities will continue to soar, benefiting the world at large.
