Key Points:

1: Prime Minister Modi accuses opposition of converting educational institutions into minority institutions, allegedly eliminating reservations for SC, ST, and OBC                         communities.
2: PM expresses concerns about Congress' manifesto resembling Muslim League's approach, proposing to raise the reservation cap.
3: Around 10,000 institutions allegedly removed from SC, ST, and OBC protections, affecting admissions and jobs.

In a recent address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the opposition of undermining reservation policies meant to benefit Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) communities. He asserted that those claiming to support these marginalized groups were, in fact, their greatest adversaries, particularly through their actions regarding educational institutions.

PM Modi pointed out that certain educational institutions had been swiftly designated as minority institutions by the opposition, effectively eliminating reservations for SC, ST, and OBC communities. One prominent example cited was Jamia Millia University in Delhi, which, upon being labeled a minority institution, allegedly lost its reservation quotas. This move, PM Modi emphasized, not only affected admissions but also had ramifications for employment opportunities for these communities. He highlighted that approximately 10,000 such institutions were allegedly stripped of SC, ST, and OBC protections, further exacerbating the challenges faced by these groups.

Moreover, PM Modi expressed grave concerns regarding the stance taken by the Congress party, particularly evident in their manifesto titled 'Nyay Patra'. He likened their approach to that of the Muslim League, pointing out similarities between their proposals. Of particular concern was the Congress party's pledge to pass a constitutional amendment aimed at raising the existing 50% cap on reservations for SCs, STs, and OBCs. PM Modi interpreted this as a move that could potentially further marginalize these communities, echoing his earlier sentiment that such actions were contrary to the interests of the very people they claimed to represent.

The Prime Minister's address shed light on what he perceives as a concerted effort by certain political entities to manipulate reservation policies for their own gain, rather than genuinely uplifting backward communities. He underscored the need for vigilant oversight and proactive measures to safeguard the rights and opportunities of SC, ST, and OBC populations. PM Modi's remarks serve as a reminder of the complex socio-political dynamics surrounding reservation policies in India and the imperative of ensuring their equitable implementation for the benefit of all marginalized groups.
