This year, the world celebrates Women's Day under the theme: “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”

PM Modi’s Tribute to Women

Sharing a video on X, PM Modi wrote:
"We bow to our Nari Shakti on #WomensDay! Our Government has always worked for empowering women, reflecting in our schemes and programmes. Today, as promised, my social media properties will be taken over by women who are making a mark in diverse fields!"

A day before Women's Day, PM Modi addressed an event in Surat, Gujarat, where he urged women to share their success stories and achievements on the NaMo App. He highlighted that several inspiring women had come forward to share their journeys, and as a tribute, he decided to give them a platform to take over his social media accounts.

"A few days ago, I encouraged the women of our country to share their successes, achievements, and inspiring life journeys on the NaMo app. Many sisters and daughters have shared their stories on the platform. Tomorrow is Women’s Day, and on this special occasion, I will be handing over my social media account to some of the inspiring women," said PM Modi.

This initiative is being seen as a digital tribute to women leaders, achievers, and changemakers across India, further strengthening the government's commitment to gender equality and empowerment.

BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda also took to social media to salute the contributions of women in shaping Indian society and the nation.
