On August 15, 2025, during India’s 79th Independence Day celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful address from the Red Fort, unveiling a landmark initiative to preserve India’s demographic and territorial integrity. PM Modi specifically highlighted threats from Bangladeshi infiltrators, emphasizing that unchecked demographic changes in border areas pose a serious national security risk. He stated, “No country can hand over its land to infiltrators — how can we?” The initiative is part of a broader strategy to ensure that India’s sovereignty, tribal lands, and livelihoods of youth are protected against external and internal threats.

The Prime Minister appealed to citizens to remain united in safeguarding India’s identity and preserving the sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers. He described the illegal demographic interventions as a “well-planned conspiracy” aimed at altering the country’s population composition and reiterated the government’s resolve to act decisively against it.
