As Bihar gears up for the assembly elections, the BJP is set to deploy its biggest vote-winning asset, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a comprehensive campaign strategy. PM Modi will arrive in Gaya on August 22, with the official NDA election campaign running from August 23 to August 30. This marks the launch of the alliance’s major outreach efforts, designed to consolidate votes and counter Congress’s ongoing campaigns in Bihar.

The NDA’s strategy is notable for its collaborative approach. Instead of campaigning alone, the BJP has included all alliance partners in Bihar, including JDU, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), LJP, and RLSP. Sources reveal that 14 specially designated teams have been formed, each comprising seven members from BJP and NDA allies, tasked with covering 84 assembly seats over the first two phases of campaigning. This ensures widespread voter engagement and coordination across the state.

Each team is led by prominent leaders, such as JDU working president Sanjay Jha, alongside Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Nityanand Rai, HAM Chief Jitan Ram Majhi, and Bihar’s Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhury and Vijay Kumar Sinha. These teams will visit one assembly seat per day, completing six seats in six days, holding press conferences, public rallies, and community meetings, directly addressing and challenging Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘vote chori’ narrative.

The NDA’s campaign is a direct response to the Congress-led Voter Adhikar Yatra, which has been actively campaigning in Bihar with support from allies RJD and Samajwadi Party leaders, including Tejashwi Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav. The Congress campaign focuses on highlighting voter rights issues and questioning both the Election Commission and BJP strategies. However, the BJP is leveraging PM Modi’s presence, extensive party network, and alliance coordination to reinforce its electoral messaging.

Earlier, the BJP faced a minor setback when the CSDS-Lokniti Survey suggested a decline in voter numbers in select constituencies. Additionally, local discrepancies during the Voter Adhikar Yatra, such as the case of Ranju Devi, were used by the BJP to challenge Congress’s campaign credibility. In response, the NDA is deploying top leaders across 20 districts, aiming to maximize voter outreach and engagement.

The campaign is strategically designed to cover all critical assembly segments, combining media interaction, public rallies, and grassroots mobilization. By including senior leaders, MPs, and ministers from across the NDA alliance, the campaign seeks to project unity, coordination, and a strong political narrative in contrast to opposition efforts.
