Pune, India – Praj Industries, a leader in bioeconomy solutions, has announced the appointment of Mr. Ashish Gaikwad as Managing Director-Designate, effective February 3, 2025. Mr. Gaikwad will take over from Mr. Shishir Joshipura, the current CEO & MD, who will complete his tenure on June 30, 2025.

As part of a seamless leadership transition, Mr. Gaikwad will collaborate closely with Mr. Joshipura and the leadership team to ensure the continued growth of Praj Industries and its alignment with strategic priorities.

Ashish Gaikwad brings with him a wealth of experience spanning over 34 years in industrial automation, digitalization, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Electrical & Electronics from BITS Pilani, India. Before joining Praj, Mr. Gaikwad led Honeywell Automation India Ltd. as Managing Director for over seven years. His leadership experience includes diverse roles across India, Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, and the USA, focusing on sales leadership, strategy, and corporate governance.
