Chandrasekhar's concerns come in the context of rising tensions and violent incidents on U.S. college campuses. Earlier this year, a violent confrontation occurred at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where a pro-Palestinian encampment was attacked, resulting in fifteen injuries. Similarly, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, activists clashed with police during a demonstration related to the Gaza conflict, leading to significant unrest.
