Strategic Importance of Projects

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen (retd) KT Parnaik, who virtually participated in the inauguration ceremony from Itanagar, emphasized the strategic importance of these projects. He stated that the infrastructure development would not only boost national security but also improve surface and air communication. This, in turn, is expected to attract tourism to the state, further contributing to its economic growth.

Parnaik also expressed his gratitude to the central government on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh for successfully implementing these vital projects. These infrastructure upgrades are poised to promote socio-economic development in the border regions, supporting the Vibrant Border Village programme and the state's Seva Aapke Dwar initiative, which aims to bring government services directly to the people.

Remarks by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Minister Kento Jini

Chief Minister Pema Khandu also participated in the virtual inauguration from Itanagar, lauding the successful completion of these projects. He noted that the developments would have far-reaching impacts on the state's connectivity and future growth.

Arunachal Pradesh's Law and Justice Minister Kento Jini, who attended the inauguration from Aalo in West Siang district, highlighted that these projects would significantly enhance the state's infrastructure, providing better road and bridge connectivity that will drive the state's development forward.

These new infrastructure developments not only represent a crucial step towards securing India's borders but also highlight the government's focus on the socio-economic upliftment of the region. Improved roads and bridges will facilitate easier movement of goods and people, while the helipad will improve air connectivity in remote areas.

The BRO's projects are seen as vital for strengthening national security while also providing a platform for future growth by promoting tourism, trade, and ease of access for the local population.
