Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF), a Government of India undertaking, has announced the successful commencement of commercial production at its new AN Melt Plant at the Trombay Unit, effective from February 4, 2025. This new plant has a capacity of 425 MTPD (Metric Tons Per Day) and is expected to play a significant role in meeting the growing demand for ammonium nitrate products used in fertilizer production.

The Trombay Unit, located in Mumbai, has long been an essential hub for RCF’s manufacturing operations, and this expansion will further bolster the company’s capabilities in the chemical manufacturing sector. With this new plant, RCF aims to enhance its production efficiency and contribute to the growth of India’s fertilizer industry.

The launch of the AN Melt Plant is part of RCF’s strategic initiative to strengthen its position as a key player in the fertilizer market while aligning with the government’s vision for industrial growth and self-sufficiency.
