His tally includes 14 five-wicket hauls and three 10-wicket match hauls. In comparison, Harbhajan Singh, who also played 152 home matches, claimed 376 wickets in 199 innings at an average of 30.75, with 20 five-wicket hauls and 4 ten-wicket match hauls.

On the all-time home wickets list for Indian bowlers, Anil Kumble leads with 476 wickets, followed closely by Ravi Ashwin with 475 wickets. Jadeja’s outstanding achievement highlights his consistency and impact as a bowler in home conditions, bridging the gap between modern-day performers and legendary Indian spinners.

This series win also marked Jadeja’s third Player of the Series award in his Test career. The first two awards came against Australia in 2017 and 2023, both on Indian soil.
