The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) praised the Central government's decision to lift the ban on government employees participating in Sangh activities. RSS spokesperson Sunil Ambekar said, "The present decision of the government is appropriate and strengthens the democratic system of India."

Ambekar emphasized that the Sangh's contributions to national security, unity, and integrity, as well as its role during natural disasters, have been recognized and praised. He criticized previous governments for baselessly banning employees from participating in the activities of the Sangh, which he described as a constructive organization.

Criticism from Opposition

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati criticized the government's decision, calling it a politically motivated move to appease the RSS. She demanded the immediate withdrawal of the order, stating that it undermines the impartiality required of government employees.

Mayawati argued that the Centre's decision to lift the 58-year-old ban is a strategy to ease tensions between the RSS and the government, which had intensified after the Lok Sabha elections. She claimed this move serves political interests rather than the national interest.
