Samsung Electronics CEO and Vice-Chairman Mr. Jong-Hee (JH) Han recently highlighted the significant and rapidly growing market presence of Samsung in India during his visit to the company's Noida factory. This facility is a major hub for producing smartphones, tablets, and refrigerators. Emphasizing the increasing importance of the Indian market for Samsung, Mr. Han stated, “India is the fastest-growing market globally and offers a huge opportunity for Samsung. We were among the first companies to invest in India. I am happy that the Noida factory has emerged as one of our biggest manufacturing facilities for India and the world.”

Earlier this year, Samsung introduced its ‘AI for All’ vision, aimed at enhancing consumer lives through artificial intelligence and hyper-connectivity. In 2024, Samsung’s Galaxy AI-powered premium smartphones and Bespoke AI home appliances, including refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines, have created a distinctive ecosystem of connected devices, offering convenience, connectivity, and energy savings. This strategic focus aligns with Samsung’s goal of providing a ‘One Samsung’ experience, powered by advanced technology that sets its products apart, particularly in the premium refrigerator segment. This segment has seen rapid growth in India as consumers increasingly opt for larger-capacity refrigerators with enhanced features.

Praising the India-based R&D teams, Mr. Han noted, “India has a large population of tech-savvy young consumers that inspire us to innovate. I am proud that many young, enterprising engineers who are playing an important role in the development of AI are working at our R&D centres in India.” Samsung's commitment to the "Make in India" initiative is demonstrated by its extensive operations, including manufacturing plants in Noida and Sriperumbudur, a design centre in Noida, and three R&D facilities in Noida and Bengaluru.

Samsung’s AI for All vision not only enhances the consumer experience but also fosters an ecosystem of hyper-connected devices that prioritize convenience, connectivity, and energy efficiency. This vision is particularly evident in Samsung’s Galaxy AI-powered premium smartphones and Bespoke AI home appliances, which have set a new standard in the industry.

The Noida factory stands as a testament to Samsung’s investment and growth in India, emerging as one of the company's largest manufacturing facilities globally. This facility plays a crucial role in Samsung’s production of a wide range of products, reinforcing the company’s presence in the Indian market.

In conclusion, Samsung's focus on the Indian market is evident through its substantial investments in manufacturing and R&D, its innovative ‘AI for All’ vision, and the development of a hyper-connected ecosystem of devices. With a strong commitment to the "Make in India" initiative and a strategic emphasis on AI-driven innovation, Samsung is poised to continue its rapid growth and solidify its position as a market leader in India.
