Sanofi India Limited, a leading pharmaceutical company, has announced a significant change in its senior management team in accordance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The company has officially informed the stock exchanges about the cessation of Ms. Surabhi Kaul as Senior Management Personnel (SMP) and the appointment of Ms. Richa Bakshi as the new People Excellence Lead (SMP).
This change marks an important step in the company’s human resource and organisational leadership strategy, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with its growth vision.
Cessation of Surabhi Kaul as Senior Management Personnel
Ms. Surabhi Kaul, who served as People Director – SEA&I, will cease to be a Senior Management Personnel of Sanofi India Limited effective from the close of business on 14 August 2025. This change is due to her movement to another role within the Sanofi group.
During her tenure, Ms. Kaul contributed significantly to the company’s HR and people management strategies, focusing on employee engagement, talent development, and leadership alignment across multiple geographies.
Appointment of Richa Bakshi as People Excellence Lead
Upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors of Sanofi India has approved the appointment of Ms. Richa Bakshi as the People Excellence Lead with effect from 18 August 2025. She will serve as a whole-time employee in this senior management role.
Ms. Bakshi brings with her over 16 years of experience in leading large and diverse teams across geographies. She is recognised as an energetic, dynamic, and high-potential HR leader with substantial expertise in both corporate HR management and plant-level operations, giving her a strong understanding of blue-collar workforce dynamics.
Her career background includes an impactful tenure at Procter & Gamble, where she served as HR Director – Supply Chain, India and Africa, Middle East (IMEA) & AMA (Asia, Middle East, Africa). This role gave her deep exposure to global HR practices, leadership development, and organisational culture building.
She holds a BA LLB (Hons) from the University of Nottingham, England and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PMIR) from the prestigious Xavier Labor Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur.
Strategic Significance of the Leadership Change
The leadership reshuffle comes at a time when Sanofi India is focusing on enhancing its people-centric strategies, talent retention, and employee development programs to support its business objectives in India and the SEA&I region.
