Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) chief Sharad Pawar has strongly supported the Congress’ demand for a special session of Parliament to deliberate on the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which left 26 tourists dead. Speaking from Thane after participating in a religious ceremony, Pawar underlined the need for unity among all political parties in the face of such national tragedies.

“The entire country is united on this issue. A special session would be useful to send this message to the world,” he said.

Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi had earlier urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convene a special session of Parliament to discuss the incident and showcase the country's resolve.
