His prior roles include working as a sell-side analyst at leading investment banks like BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, and ICICI Securities.
Holding a degree from BITS Pilani, Mr. Mathew’s expertise in financial strategy and investor relations will ensure a seamless transition as the company searches for a permanent CFO.
2. Amit Jain Resigns as Global CEO
After an impactful tenure, Mr. Amit Jain tendered his resignation as the Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group on personal grounds. He will continue to serve until February 28, 2025, ensuring a smooth transition.

3. Chandra Kishore Thakur Elevated to Global CEO
Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur, who currently serves as the CEO for Asia, Africa, LATAM, and Europe, will assume the position of Global CEO effective March 1, 2025.
Mr. Thakur has been with SWREL since 2018 and has played a pivotal role in leading the company’s strategy and operations across geographies. With a Mechanical Engineering degree from NIT Jamshedpur and an MBA from IGNOU, Mr. Thakur combines technical expertise with strategic leadership. He is also certified by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and serves as Vice President of the National Management Council of PMA India.
His tenure has been marked by transformational efforts in integrating technology and agile project management to meet delivery commitments. As Global CEO, Mr. Thakur aims to drive further innovation and efficiency across SWREL's international operations.
