Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has announced a major breakthrough in its renewable energy EPC portfolio, securing orders worth approximately ₹1,470 crore, including taxes and O&M contracts. The orders mark SWREL’s foray into Wind EPC, reinforcing its position as a leader in solar and hybrid energy solutions.

Breakthrough in Wind EPC with Hybrid Project

For the first time, SWREL has entered the Wind EPC segment with a hybrid project in Rajasthan. The project, awarded by a private Independent Power Producer (IPP), involves:

• Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of a 69.3 MW Wind Balance of Plant (BoP).

• 58 MW AC / 75 MWp DC Solar Balance of System (BoS).

• Development of a 132 kV / 33 kV pooling substation.

This marks a significant diversification for SWREL, enabling the company to provide integrated EPC solutions for hybrid energy projects, combining solar, wind, and battery storage solutions (BESS).

Major Solar Project in Gujarat

Apart from the hybrid project, SWREL has emerged as the L1 bidder for a 200 MW AC / 260 MWp DC solar power project in Gujarat. This contract, awarded by a leading PSU developer, strengthens SWREL’s leadership in solar EPC within India.

Another Solar Project in Rajasthan

Additionally, SWREL has received a letter of award from a private IPP for the development of a solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Rajasthan. While specific capacity details have not been disclosed, this project further solidifies the company’s growing footprint in the Indian solar energy sector.
