Fans of Bollywood’s quirky horror-comedy genre have a lot to look forward to this Diwali, as the makers of Thama have officially released its highly anticipated teaser across social media.
Helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar, and produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, the film brings together a stellar ensemble featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal in key roles.

Described as the first love story in the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe, Thama promises a high-voltage cocktail of romance, thrills, action and dark humour, following in the footsteps of franchise favourites like Stree, Bhediya, Munjya and the upcoming Stree 2.

Teaser Highlights

The 1-minute and 49-second teaser opens with a haunting-yet-emotional voiceover from Ayushmann’s character Alok, who says:
“Reh paogyi mere bina 100 saal tak?”
To which Rashmika’s character Taraka replies, “100 saal kya, ek pal ke liye bhi nahi.”

What begins like a classic love confession quickly spirals into intense action sequences, supernatural visuals, and blood-soaked emotional tension, establishing the film’s gritty tone. The teaser closes on a lighter note with a quirky one-liner from Nawazuddin Siddiqui, offering fans a taste of the humour that made the franchise so successful.

With Ayushmann and Rashmika pairing up for the first time, and Nawazuddin stepping in as a powerful supernatural antagonist, Thama is shaping up to be one of the most awaited theatrical releases of the year.
