He does not overplay the heroism. Instead, he conveys a man constantly trying to catch up with events spiralling beyond his control. This restraint helps counterbalance the more exaggerated elements of the story.

In scenes that require rapid decoding of encrypted files or sudden tactical decisions, Basso manages to make the improbable seem almost believable. His physical commitment to action sequences also lends credibility to the show’s many chase scenes.

Complicated and Silly in Equal Measure

Season 3 struggles most in its plotting. The conspiracy at the heart of the narrative is so elaborate that it begins to strain logic. Characters frequently shout crucial information while running through dimly lit spaces, only to be interrupted by gunfire or sudden betrayals.

There are moments when supposedly impenetrable codes are cracked in seconds. High-level security systems are bypassed with suspicious ease. Villains reveal their plans in convenient bursts of monologue.
