In a tragic incident from Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, BJP leader Gulfaam Singh Yadav (60) was poisoned to death under mysterious circumstances on Monday. The shocking murder took place around 1 PM while Yadav was sitting at his residence in Daftara village, located under the jurisdiction of the Junawai police station. According to eyewitnesses, two unknown men arrived on a motorcycle, approached Yadav, and one of them injected a poisonous substance into his abdomen before fleeing the scene.

Despite immediate efforts by his family members, who rushed him to a nearby government hospital in Junawai, doctors referred Yadav to Aligarh for further treatment. Sadly, he passed away on the way.

The Circle Officer of Gunnaur, Deepak Tiwari, spoke to the media, providing more details of the incident. "Yadav was sitting at his farm in Daftara village when three men arrived on a motorcycle and injected him with a substance before fleeing." He also confirmed that the investigation was ongoing, but no formal complaint had been filed by the victim’s family at the time of reporting. A police team is working on identifying the suspects.

Who Was Gulfaam Singh Yadav?

Gulfaam Singh Yadav was a respected political figure in the region, with over 30 years of active political experience. In 2004, he made headlines when he contested the Gunnaur Assembly bypoll against Mulayam Singh Yadav, the then Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

In addition to his role as a political candidate, Yadav had a long association with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He served in several key positions, including State Executive Member, Regional Vice President (Western UP), and District Karyawah of the RSS. He was also the BJP General Secretary. His wife, Javitri Devi, is a prominent local political leader, currently serving her third consecutive term as the village head.

Yadav's death has sent shockwaves through the local political community, with many pointing out the significance of his contributions to the BJP and the region's political landscape. The police investigation is ongoing, and authorities are hoping to uncover more details about the assailants and the motive behind this murder.
